Based on 863 reviewsWarung Kampung Indonesian Restaurant in Legian is widely appreciated for its authentic, home-style Indonesian cuisine served in a cozy, family-run setting. Patrons often highlight the affordability and generous portions of vegetable-rich dishes, along with freshly prepared meals delivered hot. The restaurant’s somewhat hidden location down a small alley may require some effort to find, but visitors generally find it worthwhile. Friendly and welcoming staff contribute to a pleasant dining experience. Overall, the establishment is praised for offering great value without compromising on taste, making it a favored choice for both locals and tourists seeking genuine Indonesian flavors in a relaxed atmosphere.
This place took a minute to find as it’s down a little alley. We snagged a table and were grateful we were able to sit easily. The restaurant was soon full.We ordered a couple chicken dishes, migoreng, and an appetizer w tofu, tempe, and eggplant. The dishes are a la carte so we ordered 2 rices on the side. The dishes came out piping hot — guessing that’s the rhyme and reason of how the dishes come out. My favorite of everything was the migoreng and we liked the fried chicken and ordered more. We’ll likely be back!
We went to this place for our first dinner in Bali and we didn’t regret it. The food here made us feel like home, like mama’s recipes. It’s a small family-own business, we felt so welcomed. The fried tempeh, fried chicken, fried noodles, and veggie soup were delicious! The price was cheap. This place is in a small alley, but we followed Google map just fine. Not very far from Grandmas plus Legian hotel.
So good and such fantastic value!!! Drink, meal plus rice 3.50. Not a lot meat but you dont need it, lots of yummy veggies!
Just had delicious dinner here. Food are excellent, prices are very affordable, and staff are very nice and friendly. I dont need anything else. Too bad I found it on my last night in Legian / Kuta area.I definitely will come again soon !!
Honest Indonesian warung, served up some lovely food. I had the udang goreng sambal (squid, veg and chilli) r35k1.75, It was lovely with a couple of big Bintangs (r45k2.75 each)
My absolute favourite! The staff are wonderful, they helped me with my Balinese pronunciation Food is incredible and prices are fantastic! (Cash only venue). Definitely try the whole fish with Balinese sauce, out of this world! Water spinach was a favourite of mine too, and I’ve never had better tofu, tempeh and eggplant! Refreshing juices and cold beer as well! It’s a lovely atmosphere with a family of extremely cute kitty cats. Thank you so much Will be a go to spot for me whenever I am in Legian
We had Nasi Goreng to quickly eat something. It wasnt a very huge portion but the sauce used when cooking is very good, and we came again the next day to have the same meal. Very good price for the food and drinks.
A great local spot, such affordable prices and delicious food. Nice open space out back where we ate. We went with fried chicken with chilli sauce, whole fish with Balinese sauce, steamed rice, french fries and also added a large serve of seafood nasi goreng. Amazing, very happy. Will be back. Definitely recommend !!!
